Hiking

There are numerous possibilities for hiking in the area around Chemery ; in its forests, along the canal, by the Bar river and around Bairon lake. In the gîte you will find suggested circuits.

The GR14 long distance hiking path connecting Paris to Corbion in Belgium passes through Chémery.

Cycling

There are numerous cycleways in the Ardennes, in particular the “Voies Vertes” running for 130km along the Meuse and its affluents. In 2023 a new “Voie Verte” along the Ardennes canal connecting the Meuse and Aisne will be opened. This route will pass less than a kilometre away from the gite.

Romanesque and/or fortified churches

There are no less than 13 romanesque and/or fortified churches within a 10km circle centred on the gite : Bulson, Chéhéry, Chémery-sur-Bar, Cheveuges, Connage, Malmy, Omicourt, Omont, Saint-Aignan, Sy, Tannay, Vendresse, Villers/Bar.
